What We Test Before the Certified Label Goes On
Every unit passes every point on this list before it's sold, or it doesn't get certified. Tony signs the sheet. You get a copy with the tub.
Shell + Structural (10 points)
- Shell surface — no cracks, stress lines, or delamination
- Shell color/finish — no major fade or staining
- Jet bodies seated, no cracks
- Shell pillows — always replaced
- Cabinet panels — no rot, warping, or pest damage
- Skirt/frame structural integrity
- Cover condition graded — replaced if waterlogged or torn
- Cover lifter hardware
- Steps / accessories present
- Drain valve operation
Plumbing + Water Tightness (10 points)
- 48-hour leak test at operating temp — zero loss
- Manifold inspection
- All fittings seated, no weeping
- Gate valves — smooth operation
- Diverter valves — full travel, seals intact
- Air controls — full open/close
- Jet faces and rings — seated, rotating freely
- Filter housing + unions
- Pressure / flow switch test
- Waterfall / cascade features (if equipped)
Electrical + Controls (10 points)
- GFCI test — trips and resets correctly
- Main wiring inspected — no burn marks
- Heater element continuity + amp draw within spec
- Heater sensor reading within 2°F of actual
- Circulation / low-speed pump — operation + amps
- Jet / high-speed pump — operation + amps
- Blower operation + amps (if equipped)
- Control pack — all buttons functional, no error codes
- Topside panel — display legible, seals intact
- All lights operational
Water Treatment + Finish (10 points)
- Ozonator CD cell tested (if equipped)
- UV system — lamp hours + output (if equipped)
- Saltwater / FreshWater system (if equipped)
- Filter cartridge — new, always replaced
- Pillows — new or refinished, always replaced
- Shell polish/buff — cosmetic pass
- Jets cleaned, soaked, flushed
- Full drain + fresh fill, chemistry stabilized
